Pantone recently announced their “Color of the Year”. The 2014 color is Radiant Orchid. This vibrant purple has popped in everything from the latest fashion trends to in home decor. We think this mix of pink and purple works well with carpet and dark hardwood flooring!
Here are some examples of ways you can incorporate Pantone’s color of the year into your everyday lifestyle.
Fashion:
Radiant Orchid make a great accent piece such as a purse or shoes. Add this color to an ordinary ensemble to make it unique and eye catching.

Radiant Orchid can also be used as the main color scheme in your outfit! Dress racks are expected to fill with options that are flattering to everybody.
Home Decor:
Radiant Orchid works great as a block color, but for many people, too much purple isn’t for them. This is when you use accent and decorative pieces to add style and color. Some examples of Radiant Orchid in home decor include a throw blanket, accent pillows, lamp shades, chairs and even appliances!
If you just want to dip your toes into the Radiant Orchid swimming pool, try infusing some flower bouquets that brighten up your home, and allow you to slowly introduce this color into your pallet!
